The HighPoint Approach

At HighPoint, we value objective, in-depth assessment, personalized rehab plans, and education. Our approach emphasizes equipping you with deep understanding  of your condition, which in turn empowers YOU to take charge. This means that instead coming in twice a week for 12 weeks to do some simple exercises you could do on your own, bouncing between multiple providers who are making things up on the fly, you’ll have my full attention and maximize the time you spend with me. You’ll learn about your body’s movement patterns and the root cause of your problem, leave with a customized plan to address the findings, and return for re-assessments and progression of your plan based on objective data, with hands-on treatments like manual therapy or dry needling as needed along the way. This translates to getting results more quickly and with far fewer sessions than a traditional insurance-based PT model.

Meet Dr. Lauren Hierholzer, PT, DPT, OCS

Before opening HighPoint Performance Rehab in Brevard, NC, I spent five years as a physical therapist with U.S. Army, treating soldier-athletes in environments where results mattered. I’m a board-certified specialist in orthopedics, and I also have a strong personal background and interset in endurance and outdoor sports. I ran Division I cross country in college, and in more recent years I have become an avid rock climber. Those experiences shape my work now: performance-focused rehab tailored to those who won’t settle for waiting it out on the couch.

I work with active people who want to stay active: mountain athletes, lifters, CrossFitters, and anyone tired of being told to just rest it. Whether you're chasing an FKT, a deadlift PR, or just want to keep up with your kids on a hike, we'll build the plan that fits your life.
